Jack Of All, Master Of None
“ The addition of Impulse KT05 proves that the prevailing Indian brand is ready for the competition and gearing up to tackle its competitors in coming days. ”
The Impulse KT05 is a tall, sleek smartphone which weighs 170 grams due to its 4000mAh battery. The phone is huge but using the fingerprint scanner is not a task due to its convenient placement. Unlike its competitors, the charging port is placed on the top which can be vexing, while using the smartphone during charging. The phone is slippery but the back of the phone is not easily smudged by fingerprints due to its built texture.
The lack of an updated operating system dwarfs the performance of the Kult Impulse. The phone slows down while multitasking and using data-intensive applications. But on a positive note, the battery lasts for two whole days if the smartphone is used for general activities. In terms of security, the face unlock ceases to function smoothly in low light conditions whereas the fingerprint scanner is relatively faster and reliable. The 18:9 ratio paired with the HD+IPS display makes it a suitable option for watching movies, and further impresses those who are fond of big screens.
Both, the front and rear camera sport a 13MP lens accompanied by a led flash. Comparing the KTO5 with its major rival, the Redmi 5 the camera of Kult struggles to retain the top position in the race. Both the lenses capture average photos, but the quality slumps with the absence of light. But the selfie camera does capture some decent shots with the help of the beauty mode.
